The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) is a United States trade organization dedicated to the HVACR industry with more than 300 members worldwide, comprising greater than 90 percent of the residential and commercial air conditioning, space heating, water heating, and commercial refrigeration equipment manufactured and sold in North America. LG Electronics USA, Inc. has been an international member for ten years.
A government and consumer advocate for the HVACR industry, AHRI also produces certification programs and standards for applicable products. LG's Duct-Free air-conditioning systems are rated in accordance with ANSI/AHRI Standard 210/240-2008: for Unitary Air-Conditioning & Air-source Heat Pump Equipment and subject to verification rating accuracy by AHRI sponsored, independent, third party testing.
AHRI Standard 210/240 establishes test, operation, rating, and minimum data requirements for unitary air-conditioning and air-source heat-pump equipment with capacities of less than 65,000 Btu/h (19,000 W) capacity.
